Meijer family in years

MRP Development is one of the three subsidiary companies of Meijer Realty Partners (MRP) and came about from the acquisition of ASR Vastgoed Ontwikkeling (ASR Property Development). Since then, the company has been growing rapidly and is characterised by entrepreneurship, with a team that looks beyond just investing in real estate projects. Often the starting point is an iconic building, historical site or inner city area development. That the team is good at what they do is shown by the appreciation:

  • BREEAM three-star design certificate for the Aalmarkt Leiden project
  • 2nd place in the Top 101 Developers of PropertyNL (2017)

Meijer Realty Partners (MRP) founded by Ton Meijer and son Bart Meijer. The basis for establishing the company was to be able to anticipate the recovery of the Dutch property market in time. We now know that as from 2015 onwards, the market started to turn around.

Ton Meijer, who previously led the MAB Group from 1970, and his son Markus Meijer set up Meyer Bergman together. Since 2008, Meyer Bergman has invested more than € 2.5 billion in immovable property.

MeyerBergman Erfgoed Groep (MeyerBergman Heritage Group), with Ton Meijer and his wife Maya Meijer-Bergmans at the helm, buys the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam in order to redevelop it in a highly successful manner. MeyerBergman Erfgoed Groep has been the owner of Soestdijk Palace since 2017; for three centuries the residence and work palace, summer residence and hunting lodge of the Oranges.

Ton Meijer is the founder of MAB Group. The company that develops into the largest developer in the country, with leading projects such as Oosterdokseiland in Amsterdam, the city centres of Amstelveen, Zoetermeer and Almere as well as Babylon in The Hague. Abroad, MAB realised prestigious projects such as Domus in Paris, the city centre of Nice and the Palace Quarter in the heart of Frankfurt.
